Laing+Simmons has added a new dimension to its office support commitment with the appointment of Taylor Greive.

Fresh from overseeing three rent rolls and working as a senior property manager in Western Sydney, Mrs Greive brings a unique mix of operational know-how, strategic insight and frontline tribunal experience to the Laing+Simmons Corporate property management team.

The team is a major point of difference for Laing+Simmons. From head office, it can facilitate short or long-term support to offices, depending on individual business needs. Whether it’s to complement the core sales function of their businesses in a permanent capacity, cover holiday fill-ins, or fill the service gap until they establish their own property management business, the choice is theirs.

Mrs Greive’s appointment builds this capacity in an innovative, industry-first way, Michael Anania, Laing+Simmons Head of Property Management told The Real Estate Conversation.

“Taylor is a seasoned property manager with a reputation for delivering exceptional results and standing tall in the tribunal room,” Mr Anania says.

“Our in-house property management division is going from strength to strength and we are committed to providing flexibility, expertise and consistency to the Laing+Simmons network. Taylor’s appointment embodies this commitment.

“She has immediately become an integral part of the Corporate outfit and is already training property management teams across the network on how to lift their tribunal success rate. In many cases, she attends hearings on their behalf,” he says.

But it’s not just about disputes. In fact, Mrs Greive’s focus is on preventing issues.

She works with offices to refine their end-to-end project management processes, delivers in-person and virtual training sessions, and crucially, identifies compliance gaps to prevent problems from occurring in the first place.

Property management comes with pressure, Mrs Greive says, and she sees her role as alleviating that pressure for property managers across the Laing+Simmons network.

“More than ever, property managers are under pressure and in many ways, they are at the coal face of the rental crisis. Through best practice training and support, including new legislation and changing obligations, we ensure our property managers are fully prepared,” she says.

“Tribunal preparation is where many offices feel the pressure ramp up. Therefore, we don’t just teach the process, we show teams how to win and be prepared. If they need us to step in, we’re there to attend on their behalf or with their team.

“It’s all part of delivering the most comprehensive in-house property management service we can,” Mrs Greive says.

Mr Anania says Mrs Greive’s appointment builds the company’s resources in delivering a seamless service at the Corporate level.

“We are focused on delivering a seamless corporate experience in which Laing+Simmons people focus on their core business while we take care of the administrative heavy lifting,” Mr Anania says.
