Steady numbers | The Real Estate Wrap with Leanne Pilkington
Welcome to this week’s Real Estate Wrap with Leanne Pilkington, Managing Director of Laing+Simmons and President of the REINSW.
According to CoreLogic, 849 properties went to auction in Sydney, returning a preliminary clearance rate of 76.6. Last week’s results were 851 properties with a revised clearance rate of 73.3. Same time last year, 947 properties went to auction with a clearance rate of 71.9 per cent. Our highest clearance rates were in the Hills District and Hawkesbury at a massive 100 per cent, with 6 other regions at above 80 per cent clearance.
Hey everyone, Leanne Pilkington here with the Real Estate Wrap, week commencing 16th of November, which also happens to be my 29th wedding anniversary, so I am at Jamala Wildlife Lodge in Canberra celebrating my anniversary and you can see in the background Oscar who’s been our roommate. Gotta love that! What a great spot.
Anyway, this weekend, we had 849 properties go to auction in Sydney with a preliminary clearance rate of 76.6.
Last week we saw 851. Our preliminary clearance rate was 78.6 which was revised down to 73.3. Same time last year, 947 properties with a clearance rate of 71.9 per cent.
Melbourne, 603 properties went to auction but that’s only half of what they saw same time last year. Their clearance rate was 73.5, so doing OK but still a long way to go on the volumes in comparison to last year.
The Hills district and Hawkesbury saw a massive 100 per cent of their 15 auctions actually sell on the week, which is awesome. And 6 other regions actually had above 80 per cent clearance rates so going well. Parramatta was our lowest clearance with 65.7 per cent.
Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next week. Bye!
