Hi everyone, Leanne Pilkington here for the Real Estate Wrap for the first week in March, can you even believe it? We are into the last month of the first quarter of 2020 which just blows my mind.
Anyway we had 1,045 auctions go up on Saturday. There you go, Stephen. 1,045 auctions at an 81.4 per cent prelim clearance rate according to CoreLogic. Last week we had 963 with a final clearance rate of 74.5 per cent, so still extremely strong numbers.
Just to give you some context, last year, same weekend, 801 properties for 0.8 per cent clearance, so the agents are telling me that there is still quite a bit of stock coming onto the market, so it’s going to be interesting to see if we can maintain those high clearance rates.
We’ve got our interest rate decision tomorrow. Hopefully they’re going to leave it as is, but everybody is saying that if it’s not this month, there will be another drop in interest rates coming soon.
Anyway, all that and lots more, just click here for some more info and we’ll see you next week!
