Hi, Jason Salter here from Laing+Simmons Projects. Welcome to 2021, and I’m wondering whether or not you’ve ever heard of a site waiting to be developed when the market improves? Well, that’s about now.
And you might recall if you’re an avid listener to this channel since about April, May, March last year, we were talking about interest rates are scarily low.
For Sydneysiders to sit on the sideline and just not buy a property, and guess what they’ve been doing?
Since about the beginning of Q4 2020, they’ve been buying, and they’ve been buying in droves, and the government incentives for buying off-the-plan has never been better.
So right here, right now, the recovery is well underway and this week, only 33 new and modified DA’s and that’s not surprising. We’re in January.
But the big one is the guys that have had DA’s that have been sitting on the sideline waiting for the market to improve, and now guess what they’re doing? They’re on the market for sale. And we’ve got a number of them.
